First, create the sub-domain via your virtual control panel.
SEE SUBDOMAINS
Click on the sub-domain link in your control panel to get started. Once you are there, enter in the sub-domain of your choice in the text box and click on the "add" button. This process has now created a sub-domain on your account. This has also created a new sub-directory in your public_html directory. This sub-directory will be named exactly what you have chosen for your sub-domain name.

Now you must upload all the files you would like to use for your sub-domain website to this directory. There is also a cgi-bin directory automatically created for you in this directory. You should upload your sub-domain website scripts to this cgi-bin.

To reach your new sub-domain, enter in the URL:
http://sub.yourdomain.com (replacing sub with your new sub-domain name and yourdomain.com with your accounts domain name).
To reach other files and directories using your sub-domain, enter in a URL like:
http://sub.yourdomain.com/file.html
http://sub.yourdomain.com/directory/file.html
http://sub.yourdomain.com
http://yourdomain.com/sub

All subdomains setup through the control panel draw their resources from the parent account plan.
